What do you do when you are out and about and you discover the road you were planning on walking through is blocked? Imagine red cones and cautionary tape – all the precautions that are supposed to inform you that the road ahead of you is blocked for a reason, and you shouldn't go there.

Unfortunately, most people would probably ignore the signs and keep going; some won't even pay attention to the warnings, because they think they don't really apply to them. They just go about their day as if they are the only people in the world, and as if there is not a giant hole in the ground preventing them from walking where they intended to walk.

In retail, we see many people ignore everything they are told and do what they want. No one adheres to the '10 items or less' rule at the cash registers, no one walks with caution when they see the 'floor is wet' sign, and no one cares if an aisle has been temporarily blocked from access.

Which leads people to write stories like the one on the entitled customer below…
